After an outstanding review by the Historical Novel Society (http://historicalnovelsociety.org/hnr-online-may-2010.htm) with a "highly recommended" rating, "Footsteps to Forever" was given the prestigious Editor's Choice Award by iUniverse. The award was presented in 2010.

The author revisited the Ramstein, Aviano, and Vicenza exchanges in 2011 for book signings of both "Footsteps to Forever" and "Darkness into Light." The latter, which is the sequel to "Footsteps to Forever," was published in July, 2011. It takes place mainly in post-World War II Europe. In this stunningly exciting and tragic era, the author weaves the survivors from the original novel into a thrilling story that lets the readers know what happens to the survivors and how their lives are swept up in the raging political controversies of the day. The author also had 2011 book signings at the Kirtland AFB exchange in Albuquerque, NM, the Four Hills Country Club in Albuquerque, NM, and "Under Charlie's Covers" in Bernalillo, NM. The signings at Kirtland AFB and "Under Charlie's Covers" included both novels.

The author took out a half-page advertisement for "Footsteps to Forever" in "Booklist Magazine." The advertisement is in the July 2011 issue. The magazine, which has been subscribed to by essentially all of the nation's libraries, has been sent to the large number of subscribers.

The original (Footsteps to Forever: A World War II Thriller) and sequel (Darkness into Light: A Post World War II Thriller) are now available in hardback, paperback, and e-book formats.  The hardback and paperback versions are available through iUniverse and Amazon as well as other outlets, and the books are also on Amazon's Kindle, B&N's "The Nook," and the Sony e-book readers.

The author is starting on the third novel in the series. It will bring a number of famous people 'back to life' and will cover the Korean War era. It will let you know what the surviving key characters of the earlier novels are doing in this time period. The author plans to publish this third novel in 2013.

The author recently had an epiphany as to how the series should end (it will be at the end of the fourth novel). The ending will take place after the Berlin Wall comes down, and it will be emotionally charged! It will take all of the author's skills to capture the moment. This fourth and last novel in the series will be very interesting and exciting, as it will cover Vietnam as well as the events in Europe that lead up to the toppling of the Berlin Wall.

The author was interviewed for an article that is in the December 18 Albuquerque Journal. The article is at  Retired Air Force man will keep you thrilled on Page 9 of December 18, 2011 issue of Special Sections. The author is also scheduled to have a book signing and discussion of his books at an Albuquerque book club on January 12, 2012.

The book signing and discussion on January 12, 2012 at the Albuquerque book club went very well. As of January 17, 2012, the author is continuing to write on the third novel in the series. The third novel is titled "Forever We Serve" and is very patriotic. And yes, Jennifer will get married in this novel!
